Birthday Party FAQs

• How much is the birthday party package?

  We offer weekday and weekend pricing options.  Click here for pricing.

• Is the birthday guest of honor included in the 6 people

  Yes, the birthday package includes 6 total tickets, 1 for the guest of honor plus 5 guests.  Additional tickets are available for purchase.

• How long is the activity?

  Your picnic table is reserved for a total of 3 hours (including set up time).  You are welcome to stay longer, but you may have to release the picnic table if it is reserved for another party.

• Do I have to pay for all party attendees?

  Yes, any party guest on property must have a paid ticket.

• How early should I arrive?

  You may arrive up to 15 minutes ahead of your scheduled time to set up your party area and check in.

• Are all of the activities outside?

  Yes, we are a fully outdoor activity, and our picnic tables are outdoors as well.

• Is there a party room?

  We have reserved picnic tables available with the birthday party packages.  These are all outdoors.

• What happens if it rains?

  We do try to operate in rain or shine, though The Whorl Slide may be closed if there is rain.  We will close for severe weather such as heavy rain, thunderstorms, and high winds. If small storm systems are moving through the area, we try to stay open and ask our guests to take a break while they pass. Call before you travel to confirm the operating schedule. If you would like to reschedule your party due to weather, please contact us at 757-330-0473.

• Can I decorate the table?

  You are more than welcome to decorate your table for your birthday celebration. Make your celebration festive for the guest of honor & your guests. Please note that we are a balloon-free zone due to Virginia Aquarium regulations. For the well-being of our wildlife and the cleanliness of the Park, confetti of any kind is not permitted.

• Do you provide tablecloths, cups and paper goods?

  We do not provide these items.  You will need to bring any decorations or other party items with you.

• Can I bring my own popup tent and foldable chairs?

  You are welcome to bring a small fold up table and chairs, as well as a small canopy if you would like.

• Do you have a freezer or refrigerator for the cake?

  You are more than welcome to bring in a cooler or picnic basket for your celebration. However, we can not provide a freezer,  refrigerator or storage.

• What time should I order the food?

  You can have your food delivered anytime after check in but remember that your event ends after three hours.  Click here for food options.
