Get Rolling: Discover Mira’s Acorn Run

September 4, 2026

Looking for something new to experience? Check out Mira’s Acorn Run at Owl Creek Landing! Grab a wooden ball, pick a track and watch the ball twist, turn and roll its way to the finish. This attraction, which is like a combination of putt-putt and pinball, offers a little friendly competition, plenty of curiosity and fun for guests of all ages.

Roll Into the Fun

Mira’s Acorn Run is a nine-hole, rolling-ball system. Each elevated track is made of different man-made and natural materials, including stone, corrugated metal, pipe and wood features, so the ball twists and turns down these different structures toward the finish.

Think of it as an outdoor pinball machine without the cover. At the end of the track, the ball drops into a bucket worth either 10 or 30 points. Like putt-putt, the tracks are labeled 1-9 with wooden signs.

Take your pick: plop your ball into the top of the track and just watch it roll or get competitive—challenge your companions to all nine tracks, keep score and see who comes out with the bragging rights. Scorecards are available at check-in. Play again and again until you get the highest score!

While the attraction was designed with kids in mind, guests of all ages will have fun exploring this unique game among the trees.

Want to see it in action? Watch our guests enjoy Mira’s Acorn Run in this short video.

For some guests, the fun is a happy surprise. “We played Mira’s Acorn Run, not really knowing what it was…and we were pleasantly surprised with how fun it was. We’ve always enjoyed building, and it motivated me to want to build more ramps and obstacles with the kids at home.” —Sara P

Before You Play

Mira’s Acorn Run is included in the price of admission to Owl Creek Landing. Here are a few things to know before you start rolling:

  • Use this ball over and over – it’s yours to keep!
  • Markers are available for players to customize their ball with their name and their creativity!
  • Scorecards are available at check-in.
  • Play one hole or all nine – the choice is yours!

Inspired by an Old-World Tradition

Mira’s Acorn Run was inspired by the European Kugelbahn, a traditional wooden ball-run that turns a simple rolling ball into an interactive experience. The nine tracks at Owl Creek Landing bring that idea to life with different materials and design elements, giving each track its own twists, turns and challenges. In fact, while the tracks were being built, guests were so curious and eager to try them that some wanted to play before they were even finished.

“Seeing that kind of excitement take shape track by track made it clear this was going to be something special,” said Bahman Azarm, founder and CEO of Owl Creek Landing and designer of Mira’s Acorn Run.
